... diving in!

I am constantly in awe of educators (both teachers and administrators) who put themselves out there for the world to see.  I have wanted to try blogging, but was having trouble making the leap into the unknown.  This year is an evaluation year and so I've decided to create a blog for my portfolio.  I won't be able to include everything (student work samples), but I will use this space to reflect on my 11 years as a teacher in three different independent schools, where I am today, where I hope to go, and what I am learning every day about being a better "teacher" (guide, leader, inspirational/motivational speaker, curiosity sparker).  I plan to upload general lesson concepts and reflect upon them and hope that I will recieve some feedback from the amazing educators I "see" every day on Twitter and whose blogs knock my socks off.  Hopefully, somewhere along the line, this blog will become something someone else finds worth checking out!  Later this week I will put up my first official post, reflecting on some of the ways in which Twitter has inspired me over the past two years.  One, two, three, pinch my nose and ...
